Outdoor Classic Doubleheader Set for Early February
The National Hockey League (NHL) announced today that the 2024 NHL Stadium Series will feature a doubleheader of outdoor games at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The New Jersey Devils will host the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday, Feb. 18, while the New York Rangers will take on the New York Islanders in the second game of the doubleheader on Sunday, Feb. 19.
The games will mark the return of the NHL Stadium Series to MetLife Stadium, which hosted the 2014 Stadium Series game between the Rangers and Islanders.
The 2024 NHL Stadium Series will be the 11th edition of the event, which began in 2014. The games are played outdoors in football stadiums and have quickly become one of the most popular events on the NHL calendar.
Tickets for the 2024 NHL Stadium Series will go on sale to the general public on Monday, Oct. 9.
